Time Commitment: 10 hours per week

Note that there will be a total of 6 weeks off spread across the academic year for exams and holidays.

What is the goal of the Executive Producer?

You will be working with a team of three other college student interns to put on an awards event in the Spring. You are the project manager for Novelly’s Spring awards program, so your three team members will look to you for guidance and feedback on their contributions to the project. In the Fall, you will coordinate the awards team to articulate a clear vision for the Spring awards program. In the Spring, you will coordinate the awards team to bring their shared vision for the Spring awards program to life.

What is the role of the Executive Producer?

At Novelly, the Executive Producer is the leader and project manager for Novelly’s spring awards program. Your responsibilities include:

• Become a Novelly ambassador → understand & protect Novelly’s mission, vision, & values.
• Be an active, engaged team member → participate in conversations, offer thoughtful feedback, prepare in advance for meetings, and respect your colleagues’ time.
• Work with the awards team to create and host a timely & thematic virtual awards program.
• Work with the awards team to create a formal Communications Plan for the awards program.
  • Independently write sections of the Communications Plan that clearly communicate the collaborative vision for the awards program.
• Collaborate with fellow Directors to make sure the vision for the awards program is realized.
• Lead conversations and workshops related to the production of the awards program.
• Create a run-of-show document, script, and graphic design briefs for the awards program.
• Create design briefs for the awards programs graphics and coordinate the creation of all digital assets for the awards program.
• Learn how to use Riverside.fm’s recording platform and teach others how to participate in recording sessions.
