Time Commitment: 10 hours per week

Note that there will be a total of 6 weeks off spread across the academic year for exams and holidays.

What is the goal of the Art Director?

You will be working with a team of three other college student interns to put on an awards event in the Spring. In the Fall, you are responsible for designing a brand identity around the annual awards program theme, as determined by Novelly team members and board members in the summer. In the Spring, you are designing a collection of digital assets for the annual awards program.

What is the role of the Art Director?

At Novelly, the Art Director is the person who defines and executes Novelly’s aesthetic for the annual awards program. Your responsibilities include:

• Become a Novelly ambassador → understand & protect Novelly’s mission, vision, & values.
• Be an active, engaged team member → participate in conversations, offer thoughtful feedback, prepare in advance for meetings, and respect your colleagues’ time.
• Work with the awards team to create and host a timely & thematic virtual awards program.
• Work with the awards team to create a formal Communications Plan for the awards program.
  • Independently research and create a brand guidelines slide deck for the awards program.
• Design social content for 3 campaigns related to the awards program.
• Design graphics for 2 virtual events.
• Revise content with feedback from peers.
• Give a final presentation to your team in May about your projects and their results
• Create a transition guide for the future Art Director in May
