Time Commitment: 10 hours per week

Note that there will be a total of 6 weeks off spread across the academic year for exams and holidays.

What is Novelly?

Novelly is on a mission to get e-books by underrepresented youth published and taught in the English Language Arts (ELA) classroom, so that every student can feel seen and inspired by what they read in school. We’ve been funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and AT&T. What is the goal of the Partnerships Director?

You will be working with a team of three other college student interns to put on an awards event in the Spring. In the Fall, you are responsible for collecting 100+ applications for the awards event through your contribution to the team’s communications plan and your monthly alumni engagement newsletters. In the Spring, you are responsible for coordinating a virtual event that features Novelly alumni, is hosted with and by Novelly partner organizations, and promotes Novelly’s awards event.

What is the role of the Partnerships Director?

At Novelly, the Partnerships Director is the person who engages awards and Rising Voices Collective alumni to stay involved with Novelly. Your responsibilities include:

• Understand & protect Novelly’s mission, vision, & values.
• Be an active, engaged team member, meaning you participate in conversations, offer thoughtful feedback, prepare in advance for meetings, and respect your colleagues’ time.
• Work with the awards team to create and host a timely & thematic virtual awards program.
• Work with the awards team to create a formal Communications Plan for the awards program.
  • Independently research and write hashtag & SEO strategies for 3 marketing campaigns.
• Evaluate the performance of each campaign’s hashtag & SEO strategy and document recommendations for future campaigns.
• Email monthly newsletter-style updates to Novelly’s network of alumni & partners with the goal of collecting 100+ award applications for the awards.
• Coordinate a virtual event in April with one of Novelly’s partners featuring Novelly alumni to promote the May awards ceremony.
• Coordinate alumni participation at the May awards event
• Give a final presentation to your team in May about your projects and their results
