Job Title: Curriculum Director

Job Type: Contractor with Stipend ($1K)

Term: August 14, 2023 - May 31, 2024

Time Commitment: 10 hours per week

Note that there will be a total of 6 weeks off spread across the academic year for exams and holidays.

What is the Curriculum Director?

At Novelly, the Curriculum Director is the person who creates positive learning experiences for the students and teachers who participate in Novelly’s 3 programs: SPEAK! Activist Network, Rising Voices Collective, and English Teacher Fellowship.

• You love being a host and starting conversations with new people
• You love a good plan – but you’re also great at rolling with the punches and improvising
• You’re a PowerPoint wizard and get excited about giving presentations or leading meetings
• You’re the person at the dinner party who breaks out the games to get everyone talking and feeling comfortable

Key Objectives

• Fall Semester
  • Increase engagement and build strong relationships with program participants
• Spring Semester
  • During Spring Semester, the Curriculum Director will develop an individual objective based on their experience with Novelly during the first semester

What are the deliverables of the Curriculum Director by the end of their term?

• Final presentation in May about the following:
  • 3 areas of personal growth as a student and professional
  • 3 professional learnings around designing curriculum and sessions
  • 3 pieces of advice for the next Curriculum Director
